Purpose of DPC

DPC was introduced to enable acute inpatient care to be measured and compared using common criteria.

Patients are classified according to diagnoses, surgeries, procedures, comorbidities, and other clinical factors, allowing hospitals to be compared using similar patient groups.

The purpose is to improve transparency and standardization in healthcare and promote efficient healthcare delivery while maintaining the quality of care.
